THIS WEEK In 30 Seconds: I finally found time to blog and I promised to blog sometime this week so here I am. My schedule has been pretty hectic amongst other reasons so that was why I was on a hiatus.

This week was pretty tiresome. From the emceeing to the start of lectures in school, wow, can you imagine how tiring it is for me? Nevertheless, I still have to scrape through everyday knowing its going to be like that for the next six months.

"Universal Studios Singapore"

This is by far the most exciting thing that is taking shape at Sentosa, Singapore.

Never did I imagined an integrated resorts featuring a theme park by Universal Studios will spring up in Singapore. Simply put, it is a milestone for our country.

I remembered the last time I visited Universal Studios was some time back in the year 1999 at Orlando, Florida. I love the park and really miss the States. But now, its in Singapore, plus new rides so it is sure going to be an exhilarating experience for me!

Can't wait for it to be soft-launched in early 2010!

TODAY In 30 Seconds: Today was the day my script was going to roll. It was the Teachers' Day Celebration 2009 happening at my school and it did went well! Fortunately, everything went in the proper order. After all, I was the scriptwriter for the event, so if anything goes wrong, I'm doomed! But thankfully, it was cool.

On top of every teacher I knew and whom have taught me, I even took the effort to wish every teacher I saw! I mean, its once in a year for them, so why not? Just wish them, of course, sincerely.

Well, I had plans thereafter so couldn't pay a visit to my secondary and primary schools. Moreover, most of the teachers' have been transferred to other schools so I reckoned the most effective way of wishing them is through SMS!

You have certainly been the greatest inspiration to all students, especially myself. Your hard-work has paid off, the amount of lectures and notes you have given unto us; we just appreciate it so much that we couldn't ask for more.

Tomorrow is 1 September, and I would like to wish every teacher who taught me, who helped me, who guided me, who instilled me with knowledge, to have the most cheerful day and stay jubilant for the rest of your lives!

Teaching as a career is not a job. Its the passion of bonding youths, children with education and the list goes on.

"The Proposal"

SUMMARY:

When high-powered book editor Margaret (Sandra Bullock) faces deportation to her native Canada, the quick-thinking exec declares that shes actually engaged to her unsuspecting put-upon assistant Andrew (Ryan Reynolds), who she's tormented for years. He agrees to participate in the charade, but with a few conditions of his own.

The unlikely couple heads to Alaska to meet his quirky family (Mary Steenburgen, Craig T. Nelson, Betty White) and the always-in-control city girl finds herself in one comedic fish-out-of-water situation after another. With an impromptu wedding in the works and an immigration official on their tails, Margaret and Andrew reluctantly vow to stick to the plan despite the precarious consequences.

REVIEW by DAMIAN CHEONG:

An A-grade hilarious comedy drama starring best friends in real life, Sandra and Ryan. I have to say that despite movie critics despising the plot, I felt that it was great to actually have an interesting and captivating storyline. Certain plot teaches one to be humble while some others teaches you not to be a loser.

The introduction should have been lengthen a bit more so that there would be sufficient on-screen chemistry between the two lead characters. Anyhow, the plot then brought us to Sitka, Alaska and the view (although CGI helped to beef it up) was magnificent.

All in all, the conclusion was even touching and I have to give it a star rating of 3.5 out of 5.

TODAY In 30 Seconds: My Common Test today was rather interesting. I was anticipating something more tedious. Like, say, design a poster from scratch or some crazy stuff. But it was easy. It was just tracing.

So, we had to trace a picture of a cartoon baby and I have to admit that it is my expertise because I take note of the smallest details in life, amongst being patient - which is a virtue I respect. Went shopping there after and splurge like there's no tomorrow!

"Back From Hiatus!"

Yes! I wanted to do this on Monday but postponed to Friday. Anyway, I am finally back once again after being on a hiatus for close to a month. The last I blogged was on 27 July 2009. You know, sometimes it helps when one goes on a hiatus. Before I elaborate to explain myself, I want to sincerely apologize for not updating my blog if you had been constantly visiting my blog.

SORRY. ):

Well, I had a rough month in July, I had to admit and things didn't work out the way I wanted so I had to re-strategize my thoughts. Mood swings were common and thus explains why I didn't update my blog from then.

Anyway, I have decided to implement certain changes on my blogs after being away for a month. I too, did research on how to improve content on my blog. Blogging is the whole experience I enjoy so I have my own styles and would certainly love to showcase them to the rest of the world!

UPDATE: This blog will now be focusing on issues outside of my personal life and because writing has always been my interest as I am a freelance writer for a magazine; this skill of mine have evolved gradually over the years.

TODAY In 30 Seconds: Today was my full-day training with F1. Initially, I thought it would be something boring like any other training, but to my surprise, this time round, it was entertaining - partly due to the fact that the trainer was well-received by the audience and that certainly caught a lot of attention. I caught up with QZ in the evening over dinner as he is back on 'CHiLL-REX!' and posted my regards to Soo on Facebook.

"F1 Training"

Today was the 2009 SingTel Singapore Formula One Grand Prix training conducted in school by external trainers and I have to admit that although it was a long 8-hour session, it was entertaining because the speaker made the mark. I enjoyed myself and have learnt lots of valuable knowledge which will be useful in due course.

Formula One is arriving in two months' time. Can't wait for it to be over. I am kind of disappointed with my pose but will just stay positive for the overall experience.

And poor Soo! I love her so much. But I guess I have to respect her decision to leave 987. She was the best.

TODAY In 30 Seconds: Supposedly, we were to have NAPFA test today but due to management issues, it had to be postponed to August 2009. What a waste - because I came prepared but change of plans. Anyway, as I have predicted yesterday, yes, school was indeed boring due to uninteresting lessons. Project work and individual work. Nothing is going into my brain but my brain is producing ideas for my projects. Zero input for a maximum output.

"Pizza!"

Yesterday was pasta. Today, well because Anita wanted to eat something that was different from other ordinary days so she decided that Pizza Hut was the best solution to her dilemma. I, of course, accompanied her, together with Elise.

All three of us ordered side dishes as well to complement the entire meal. Anita and Elise had baked rice while I had pizza.

We enjoyed the meal but again, the service was a little downcast. I observed that the staffs don't look at the customers as they are walking past tables. So it is very difficult to get their attention when I need a favour from them.

TODAY In 30 Seconds: Today was a bad start. Firstly, I had a terrible migraine the whole afternoon. It finally subsided in the evening. It affected my concentration in class and I felt like vomiting. Had a sumptuous evening super-early dinner at Pastamania with Mulyana and Pei Qi. I can predict that school this week is going to be boring, because there are no theoretical lessons.

TODAY In 30 Seconds: Today was the inaugural DJ Club Workshop. An external instructor was invited to train us on professional emceeing and deejaying skills. The course gave us invaluable insights and views to how emceeing can be fun but at the same time, taxing - in a sense a difficult profession. I went home and then had ice-cream to chill my body against the humid weather.

MY THOUGHTS In 30 Seconds: Life is a challenge. It is a journey we experience in different perspectives. It can be fun but at the same time, a heartache when who you need doesn't appear and what you want doesn't seem to come to you. I always believe certain things happen for a certain reason but just cannot seem to wonder why the effect of it has to be severe and untimely.

Basically, it was quite a horrifying movie, I would say and due to its shocking scenes that forced me to shut my eyes. With a low budget cast, this horror flick gave it its very best under the direction of Peter Cullen.

Considering the fact that this film was based on a true story, it is heartwarming to watch stories which were factual. Thus, personally, I like close-to-heart movies as I would relate better to it. Well, the history part got a little too draggy and how I wished I could fast-forward those parts but it was needed as it is the basis of the plot.

Overall, I would give a star rating of 3 out of 5.

I hope that things will be smooth-sailing for me and wishes for my instincts to really come true in a positive light.

SUMMARY:

The sub-zero heroes from the worldwide blockbusters "Ice Age" and "Ice Age: The Meltdown" are back, on an incredible adventure...for the ages.

Scrat is still trying to nab the ever-elusive nut (while, maybe, finding true love); Manny and Ellie await the birth of their mini-mammoth, Sid the sloth gets into trouble when he creates his own makeshift family by hijacking some dinosaur eggs; and Diego the saber-toothed tiger wonders if he's growing too "soft" hanging with his pals.

On a mission to rescue the hapless Sid, the gang ventures into a mysterious underground world, where they have some close encounters with dinosaurs, battle flora and fauna run amuck - and meet a relentless, one-eyed, dino-hunting weasel named Buck.

REVIEW by DAMIAN CHEONG:

First things first! Scrat, the saber-toothed squirrel, and his acorn. That character is just so captivating from all perspectives. As I watched him evolves from the time Ice Age hit our screens, he has grown up and is now in love with Scratte.

Throughout this entire 94-minute film, I totally love the family-oriented spirit that the movie potrays and that somehow related to me in a personal way. Dreamworks have successfully showed me that Ice Age is a lucrative trilogy.

Touted 'Dawn of the Dinosaurs', the film introduces characters that appear with sufficient on-screen time. I am referring to the mini-dinosaurs, or little rexys - as I like to better name them that way; the weasel named 'Buck', these new additions have brought in a higher level of comical values.

Lastly, I feel that the whole movie is perfectly an awesome film and I believe the producers will pen a fourth installment as there is more story that can progress on although there are other critics who think this idea may be obsolete. Glad to say, I would give a star rating of 3 out of 5.

TODAY In 30 Seconds: Woke up at 0555 hours and headed to Swissôtel as a volunteer workforce for the Asian Youth Games Singapore 2009. I was greeted by some of the SAYGOC (Singapore Asian Youth Games Organising Committee) members. I had a sumptuous breakfast, much to that of a buffet-style continental breakfast atmosphere. My job was simple as there was not much work to do except bus ushering. I was transferred from an Access Control Officer to a Bus Usherer. Nice one.

Movie Review: "Transformers 2"

SUMMARY:

In the highly-anticipated "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen," debuting June 24, 2009, Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) again joins with the Autobots against their sworn enemies, the Decepticons. Michael Bay directs from a screenplay by Ehren Kruger & Roberto Orci & Alex Kurtzman.

The battle for Earth has ended but the battle for the universe has just begun. After returning to Cybertron, Starscream assumes command of the Decepticons, and has decided to return to Earth with force.

The Autobots believing that peace was possible finds out that Megatron's dead body has been stolen from the US Military by Skorpinox and revives him using his own spark.

Now Megatron is back seeking revenge and with Starscream and more Decepticon reinforcements on the way, the Autobots with reinforcements of their own, may have more to deal with then meets the eye.

REVIEW by DAMIAN CHEONG:

Autobots! Transform! Yes, once again, Transformers is back and this time its the Revenge of the Fallen. Spear-headed by Michael Bay and under the watchful guidance of Steven Spielberg, this movie promises unstoppable action!

But never did I expect my words hit the dot. There was too much action and it tarnish the sequence of events. Rationally, movie goers would somehow expect better action from the prequel and it did prove them right. However, the action was superbly intense till it gave me migraine.

Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox looks so compatible with each other. It would be so lovely to see them together off-screen. Generally, the movie was a fantastic one, I would claim because there were new character additions to the film.

In conclusion, I still have to admit that the Transformers franchise would always be something I adore and I will patiently await the three-quel tentatively out in 2011. Nonetheless, I would give a star rating of 2.5 out of 5 this time round.

YESTERDAY & TODAY In 30 Seconds: Spent time with Loewe over the past two days and caught up quite a lot as we had not met for at least a month. We exchanged quirky conversations with each other and soon realized that there were more to discover when feelings are being released from a bottled heart. Time passed and things became more dramatic. The situation was overwhelming but as a friend, I tried all I could help and hope for the very best. It was eventually successful to a certain extent but I still hope that it would remain as it is - forever.

"Contentment"

Contentment will be the one and only word to describe my current mood now. As dictionary.com suggests, contentment refers to the state of being contented; satisfaction; ease of mind or the act of being contentedly satisfied.

Well, it has been really tiring for me these few days because of many things happening around in my life. I strongly reckoned that I need to take a well-deserved rest and therefore this post shall be short and sweet.

My involvement with the Asian Youth Games Singapore 2009 kicks off on Saturday, 4 July 2009 stretching all the way till Tuesday, 8 July 2009. I eagerly await the opportunity to check out what's in store for me at Swissôtel!

I will try to take pictures and also to make new friends there as I will be the only one; my friends are all posted to Bishan Stadium. But Swissôtel isn't that bad either. I mean, new environment means a new experience.

TODAY In 30 Seconds: Stayed home all afternoon and watch my hamsters play with one another. One of them gave birth to five babies yesterday but now is left with four. I think one got eaten up. It's common, anyway. Met 12oclock in the evening for dinner which was fried rice and also had GoGo sausages at his place. Simply delicious!

"Fright Rice!"

Today (Tuesday), I went to 12oclock's (he liked to be better named that way) house to have dinner. He is my long time church friend-uncle and way older than me but young at heart. Complicated though, but it has been a long time since we caught up with each other over dinner. The last time was at least three months ago - around my birthday.

The fried rice was superb! But the fright came when he turned on the music playing in the background. Its like those traditional oldies songs from Chinatown and it suits the whole fried rice atmosphere but I told him to stop after 15 minutes as I couldn't concentrate on eating. Yes, it was tough.

His house is a nice place. Cosy and comfortable with nice lightings all around, it can be transformed to be a meeting venue for small group of friends too - approved by 12oclock himself!

That was the CD he was playing. I gained some inspiration from it though that certain tracks can be aired on 'CHiLL-REX!' maybe as a promotional trailer or something. It's all plausible.

12oclock on the clock. You can take a peek at the clock's reflection of him but he will always remain a mystery as he does not want to be blogged!

"CHiLL-REX makes a come-back!"

'CHiLL-REX!' to make a come-back from July 13

This shocking news excited fans and friends of 'CHiLL-REX!' on Tuesday afternoon.

Sources have claimed that neither the Crew nor the Executive Committee members knew anything about it. It was later revealed that only the Board of Directors knew about it and chose to keep mum about this anticipating news. They disclosed it on June 30 at exactly 12 noon.

As such, when contacted for comment, President and Director-General of 'CHiLL-REX!', Damian Cheong, stated that everyone have been waiting for this golden opportunity and we cannot keep going on a hiatus; also with the passing of Michael Jackson, that has somehow stirred the inner inspiration inside of us to revive 'CHiLL-REX!'.

The date has been set. July 13 will be the re-premiere date for 'MUSiCMANiAC-NESS!' - the only request show on 'CHiLL-REX!' which has gone on a break for close to five months. Other shows like, 'JAM IT UP 50!' and 'Next Generation!' have no plans to be back on radio for now. It is only the request show that desires the listeners' ears.

More reports will be released soon, following the EXCO's discussions and meetings.

TODAY In 30 Seconds: Went out with one of my long-lost friend and we had brunch at Swensens. In the evening, I met Daddy and we had dinner together with my younger brother. We chatted and update about my life. Most of the time, I was bitching about Student Seminar and its nonsense. It was hilarious and a totally laugh-out-loud conversation!

Movie Review: "Drag Me To Hell"

SUMMARY:

Director Sam Raimi (Spider-Man, Evil Dead, A Simple Plan) returns to the horror genre with Drag Me To Hell, an original tale of a young woman’s desperate quest to escape an evil curse.

Christine Brown (Alison Lohman) is an ambitious Los Angeles loan officer with a charming boyfriend, professor Clay Dalton (Justin Long). Life is good until the mysterious Mrs. Ganush (Lorna Raver) arrives at the bank to beg for an extension on her home loan. Should Christine follow her instincts and give the old woman a break? Or should she deny the extension to impress her boss, Mr. Jacks (David Paymer), and get a leg-up on a promotion? Christine chooses the later, dispossessing Mrs. Ganush of her home.

In retaliation, the old woman places the curse of the Lamia upon Christine, transforming her life into a living nightmare. Haunted by an evil spirit and misunderstood by a skeptical boyfriend, she seeks the aid of seer Rham Jas (Dileep Rao) to save her soul from eternal damnation. To help the shattered Christine, the psychic sets her on a frantic course to reverse the spell. As evil forces close in, Christine must face the unthinkable: How far will she go to break free of the curse?

REVIEW by DAMIAN CHEONG:

First and upfront, I am not going to work in a bank after watching this film. Not in the near future, at least. Sam Raimi does it again! I just love his film directions and foresight. Look at how successful the Spider-Man franchise has raked in at the box office. It was tremendously lucrative!

The plot was unimaginative. Full of surprises, I would say, this film sent chillers down my spine but I have to admit though; that at certain points in this film, it was hilarious - especially when CGI (Computer-Generated Imagery) was used to enhance a few screenplay.

Watching Christine Brown (Alison Lohman) on film was somewhat captivating as she is too perfect for the role. Neither too serious nor playful, she fitted the role perfectly. There were a lot of rude shocks during the film and it was totally unprecedented. Frankly speaking, I did jump off my seat quite a couple of times.

All in all, the film was indeed, worth the money but the conclusion kind of generated blunt comments from movie-goers. Watch it and you will know what I am referring to. I would give a star rating of 3.5 out of 5.

MY THOUGHTS In 30 Seconds: It is really saddening to hear the passing of Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett. The two lovely iconic entertainment celebrities. I think I am going to give my MP3 a break and transfer all the MJ songs into it so that I can be fondly remembered of the King of Pop! At home, in Singapore, the H1N1 situation is constantly evolving and it is starting to trigger me to become peeved as it is very disruptive to normal life. Much-anticipated events have to be re-scheduled and that is a feeling which I do not like at all.

"H1N1 soars to 454!"

On Saturday night, H1N1 has hit a high of 454 cases in Singapore. And the first case was reported exactly a month ago on 27 May 2009. Today is 27 June 2009. Only one month has passed and so many things have happened.

It is going to get worse and we have to learn to embrace life like its the very last.

YESTERDAY In 30 Seconds: Went out on a "date" and we had a good meal. Had an enjoyable and fun time. Later in the evening, I met Anita, Ellison and his friends. We then watched Drag Me To Hell and it was hilarious! Totally! It wasn't spooky, freaky or horrifying to a certain extent. Reached home at 2245 hours and slept at 0045 hours.

"My Upcoming Events"

ITE DJ Club Workshop + BBQ (30 June 2009)

First and foremost, the upcoming DJ Club bonding event is finally drawing nearer! It will be in a form of workshop conducted by external trainers and followed by a BBQ at East Coast Park on the same evening. This entire week is going to be so jam-packed!

ITE Blaze Camp I (1 July 2009 - 3 July 2009)

The next event I am heavily involved in would be the ITE Blaze Camp I (July 2009). It is a leadership development programme aimed at enhancing character attributes and attitudes and it sure will be exciting! The other time, I attended as a participant and this time round, I will be attending it as a member of the organizing committee. How cool can that be? It is like giving back the good deeds that I have received in the past!

Asian Youth Games (29 June 2009 - 7 July 2009)

Following that event, I will next be heavily involved in the inaugural Asian Youth Games Singapore 2009. I am so looking forward to this event as I am really relying on this event as a stepping stone for next year's Youth Olympic Games Singapore 2010 when I apply to be a volunteer again!

For me, my responsibility would be that of an Access Control Officer stationed at the Asian Youth Games Village where the athletes are housed at Swissotel The Stamford. However, as it is by shift duties, my involvement dates only starts from 4 July 2009 and stretching all the way till the end of the event, 7 July 2009 or even 8 July 2009, due to debrief sessions.

TODAY In 30 Seconds: My phone's alarm clock woke me up at 0600 hours and I took a bus to ITE Simei. Today, my duty was the main male emcee. It was the closing ceremony and it ended with a big bang! After the seminar ended, I proceeded to have my lunch reception followed by a little interaction with some of the foreign students and had pictures taken together with them. The Hong Kong student, in particular, was a great shock to me. "It has ended!"

"Student Seminar Day Three"

The closing ceremony was an awesome blast! The much-anticipated event was finally over - entertained with an astonishing finale. My personal stress level had significantly gone down. It was a superb experience to be so heavily involved in the ITE International Student Seminar 2009 and I am greatly honoured to be the Master of Ceremony for both the opening and closing segments of this event.

I had to admit something: The extraordinary feeling on stage was admirable.

Being a Master of Ceremony for such a mega event that ITE is under-taking is definitely not an easy job. But fortunately, the worst is over.

When everything ended, I immediately changed back to my original attire and adjourned to the Cafeteria for lunch as I was completely famished. I met Elise, Mulyana and Pei Qi thereafter.

I went home slightly injured as I tripped on the stage staircase. My toe bled a little but I am alright now.

Day Two was a simpler job for me. I still remain as a stage personality. I had to do ushering duties for VVIPs and the VIPs. It was not a pleasant job as I had to smile all the way and walk up and down the stairs.

Well, a lot of uneventful stuff did happened unfortunately, but I am not going to say it out here lest it gets a little offensive to some people. However, I would really, at this juncture, want to stress on the importance of efficiency.

Tomorrow would see the last day of this event and my duty would be the main male Master of Ceremony yet again. As usual, I have to sleep early, memorize my script, drink plentiful amount of water and put on thick make up reiteratively.

TODAY In 30 Seconds: I woke up at 0500 hours and took a bus to ITE Simei. Missed the freaking bus stop thus wasted 20 minutes of detour time. Managed to reach ITE Simei by 0650 hours. It was really such an early morning. Had to put on make up, do up my hair and iron clothes before the actual event commences. "At last, day one is over!"

The opening ceremony was a blast! The much-anticipated event has kick started off with a bang and it will continue to do so for the next couple of days. It was sure a tough job emceeing for the opening ceremony but it was a fruitful experience.

I had to put on make up and get my hair done by students. I hate to put on thick make up but what to do, they want it to be done this way.

This time round, my male emcee counterpart came so I didn't have to emcee with three different girls for three separate days. Just two. That saved a little of my exhaustion. Tomorrow is the actual day of performance. "Can't wait for this event to be over!"

"Current Mood In One Word: Fatigue."

Finally, the final rehearsal has ended. I was anticipating for the word 'rehearsal' to vanish and it did eventually. Phew, it was so tiring.

Five emcees for three days of ceremony and performance. That makes out to about two per day. If I can recall, throughout the entire rehearsals I have attended, I think I have spent at least a good three hours of continuous talking.

Alright, I think I had better go have an early night and drink more warm water as I had to get up early tomorrow and be at ITE Simei an hour earlier than today.

"Extremely Enervated!"

So, I have just came back to Singapore last night. It was really very tiring for me as the journey was freaking long and boring. The battery in my MP3 died on me. I didn't bring my charger. That pretty much explains why.

I realized that we really have to earn our rest. You see, I was on vacation for five days - doing no work at all. But as soon as I came back, I got to start work immediately. And so today, tomorrow, followed by Monday to Wednesday, I have to go to school to be a Master of Ceremony. I did the math. Its five days of work as well.

It is so true. We have to earn our rest. If we rested before our work - like what I did, you got to repay it back someday. Well, that's life.

Alright, I have to go memorize my scripts for now. Till then, see you soon!

"Away From Singapore"

As mentioned, I will not be in Singapore from 15 June 2009 to 19 June 2009.

I think it would be a great idea to give my mind a rest and a well-deserved holiday, in addition to the unconditional weather here at home.

TODAY in 30 Seconds: Contented in the morning, I went to school with little worries. Met my lecturer to discuss ITE-ISS matters. After which, went for DSG lessons. The day went unusually quiet and weird at the same time. Tripped four times. Still figuring out why. Something is really wrong. My mood remains unstable at this juncture and it got worse toward the end of the day.

"Is Minocycline Okay?"

Minocycline is an antibiotic drug which forms under Tetracyclines and what I have are Blue-Orange pills that happens to be the same colour as my shirt and hand accessories as well. Fate or pure coincidence? You decide.

I am so glad that Minocycline is adapting well to my body systems. It has been dreadful watching other medicines being rejected by the body. It's just like life. Being rejected by people and friends with unknown reasons.

Sometimes, we are too lazy to think why it happened or what caused the miscommunication to happen and all the factors that contribute to the problem. This few days have not been too good because of some matters which I have to think through thoroughly.

It is a choice, a decision that can change life drastically forever.

Thus, I have to change my mindset between work and social life and this is the the most challenging obstacle.

IRASCIBLE UPDATE: I was irascible throughout the weekend. I was thinking of all sorts of negative stuffs that didn't quite help me much either. Thus, a little mood swing here and there but managed to settle down after a good four days. Still, the feeling is still within me, the 'anytime going to explode' kind of rage. Because of this, my attitude toward some people 'did not made it' (cannot make it). As such, I sincerely apologize to you - Sorry.

TODAY in 30 Seconds: Today went to ITE College Central (MacPherson) for the International Student Seminar video shooting - as part of the event interactive video show. I was fed up a little due to the intense impromptu choreographing and the scorching sun. Overall, it was a unique experience with a free sun burn - again. I just recovered from one in May 2009. Fate.

"Well-Composed"

Finally, I can say that I am well-composed at this point of time. The last few days, especially the last couple was the most agonizing phase of life, I would claim. But it has taught me valuable lessons and gave me new inspirations in life.

You see, life is just so interesting. It is the journey that captivates your mind. Sometimes, certain things happen for a reason to make us see or understand something even bigger. Be it religion or your own principles, it is really your belief and how creative you want your life to be.

TODAY in 30 Seconds: DSG lesson was boring as usual and I felt lost so didn't really concentrate much. Following that was IEP lesson but teacher was going through lots of administrative matters ranging from 'ITE International Student Seminar' to 'The Amazing Race Event' at Fort Canning Park and finally, to 'Field Trips' to learn more about event planning and on-site logistic prospects.

"Hamsters!"

It has been an awesome and fruitful year residing with my hamsters. It feels like an anniversary of looking after pets. Well, it was a good 15 months looking after a pet - the responsibility, love and care and concern I have to shower upon them.

Thus far, I have up to 30 hamsters and they have been very happy with me. Although some passed away uneventfully, I still express my love for them by burying them nicely with grief.

Yes! Finally, I got my hands on 987FM's 987 RSVP membership card. This card enables me to enter the 987 clubbing event happening at the end of every month. What's more? It is entry by invitation only. How I got the card? Simple. I went to Gramophone Music CD Store and purchased a 987FM album of song compilation as recommended by the DJs at the station.

"Logic of Life!"

Reading has been and will always be my pastime so much so that I am a freelance writer now. So, I just completed reading this book after an approximate 7-week time frame.

Not that I am a slow reader, its just that I am reading two books con-currently. That explains the speed I took. In fact, I read quite fast and I think I would have taken just 3.5 weeks to complete the entire 200-odd pages non-fiction book.

So, you may wonder, what's so interesting about this book? Well, it describes intriguing topics such as teenage sex, racial discrimination, and just simply why human beings are rational people and why we respond better when incentives are introduced to us.

Now, I'm currently looking for another best-selling book so that I can embark on my next reading journey once again and dive into a realm of exhilarating adventure!

"H1N1 has arrived!"

How scary right? But it is a fact. It has arrived in Singapore. Initially, many analysts thought that the flu would just stay around the Mexico and United States area but scientists have predicted that it will be a worldwide phenomenon.

Even the Singapore Government was readily prepared that this day would come. Let us just refer to local context, Singapore was hit with Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) in 2003 and managed to contain the virus and it was gone after much precautions and further prevention.

But personally, my question is, will this virus evolve to be something more destructive? If it does, it will be a catastrophe.

These pictures above are what the virus looks like under the microscope. Scientists are trying to invent an antidote every single day just to make sure that there could be some counter-attack against this deadly virus.

Singapore has now four confirmed cases of the Influenza A (H1N1) virus as of 29 May 2009 at 1200 hours and is still at Alert Orange under the Disease Outbreak Response System.

"Circle Line: Not a complete circle yet!"

Stage 3 of the Circle Line began operations in the wee hours of the morning on 28 May 2009. Few pondered the name initially as it was not a full circle. When it is completed in 2010, the remaining 24 stations will join these five stations to become a new rail line with 29 stations.

However, if you look closely, you would realized that the first and last stations do not meet. The line begins from HarbourFront and ends at Dhoby Ghaut. Ironic circle, indeed.

So far so good? Try the Circle Line today if you have not. It provides seamless transfers and an awesome journey experience throughout the entire five-station stretch.

I applaud the Singapore Government by expanding the rail network but will such an idea bring an even greater convenience? Yes definitely. But this will not deter people from buying their private vehicles. The Land Transport Authority seriously needs to brainstorm on how to enhance the public transport image infrastructure.

"Happy 100th Blog Post!"

It is finally my 100th blog post today! I waited so long for this day and it has finally came!

I started blogging because I wanted to keep a personal journal as I have always wished to record my daily activities with pictures. I reckoned if I had kept a personal journal, I would have to manually print the pictures I wanted and so, blogging made me save the hassle.

I will continue to blog although I always go on a hiatus but I will be back, just like now! Stay glued for more interesting activities in my life. Don't forget, I always blog with pictures. Pictures help to spice up every blog post.

PS: Don't worry about my medication and health conditions. I am alright for now. Thanks for everyone's concern thus far.

"Pizza Salsa!"

As usual, I hosted 'Campus-Maniacness!', our DJ Club radio show on campus today and then headed to Pizza Hut at Bishan Junction 8 for lunch with John and Anita. Met Elise and Ryan thereafter. My Sesame Crust pizza was just so delicious!

John had some pasta and some chicken drumsticks as a side dish to complement his whole meal as he is a big-eater. Ryan was too engrossed with his PSP and didn't eat much. After everything, we proceeded back to school for lessons.

Back in class, we had DSG lesson and there was a theory test followed by a practical test. Hopefully I did well, my confidence level dropped as I have not been in school and therefore missing lessons as a result. Prior to that, Ms Jacqueline Wong actually went through many, many, many, many, many (yes, that many) class administrative matters.

And finally, Singapore has confirmed three more H1N1 cases - that brings the total confirmed cases to four. That is not a good sign at all.

My Thoughts: I think I am starting to feel better with every passing day. I used to say that to see you is a joy and to be around with you is not a joy. But now, to be in your presence has been a contentment for me.

"My Full Diagnosis"

This is going to sound very bizarre and at the same time, confusing.

Here's a brief history of my medical life. I am currently on antibiotics to treat my acne skin condition. In a span of 2.5 years, I have been on various types of antibiotics and the objective of these medicines was to aid in the speedy recovery of my facial condition.

A year and a half, that's about 18 months ago, I started to seek medical help and was given Doxycycline by my doctor. Dosage was four pills a day (two in the morning and two in the evening). After a month, I stopped taking Doxycycline because it was giving me constant severe diarrhoea.

After which, I switched to another antibiotic, this time, called, Erythromycin. Dosage was four pills a day (two in the morning and two in the evening) as well. Erythromycin pretty much work the same way as Doxycycline but the difference was that, my body was able to adapt to Erythromycin better so I continued this course for nine whole months.

Nine months passed and my body begun rejecting Erythromycin as it has lost its effect after so long. It was around August 2008 by that time. I was on a hiatus from antibiotics.

Things didn't look quite well. So, in April 2009, I went back to my doctor and tried a new drug. I did not want to proceed on with Isotretinoin - the strongest antibiotics but with disastrous side effects (liver cancer), if one's unfortunate. My blood test showed that I was in the moderate range for that medicine but I did not take the risk. I made up my mind and refused Isotretinoin.

Thus, doctor suggested I took Co-trimoxazole, or better known as Bactrim. Dosage was four pills a day (two in the morning and two in the evening). I took that for close to five weeks and not long after, the side effects came. This time round, in the form of rashes. Acute rashes, I would say.

However, doctor said that it could be the common Urticaria, or better known as Hives. Initially, it did not make any sense as I wondered why would Urticaria only appear when I am on Co-trimoxazole. The doctor ruled out the possibility that Urticaria is a very common problem and it can happen to anyone at any given point in time and has nothing to do with Co-trimoxazole. The symptoms and rashes will come and go very frequently within 24 hours. I chose to believe my instincts and reckoned what the doctor said was indeed, true.

As such, the doctor offered to change my course of medicine as I seemed very worried if I continued taking Co-trimoxazole and so he changed it to Minocycline. Dosage was much lenient - one pill a day but one pill was strong enough to last the entire day. Yes, the medicine in the pictures above are Minocycline. The doctor knew I wouldn't take any risk by continuing Co-trimaxazole even with the re-assurance that Urticaria has nothing to do with it.

I am not a person who takes unnecessary risks when it comes to medicines. It is my health. And I have to be responsible for my own health and the type of pill that goes down my throat every single day.

Before I actually start on my new course on Minocycline, I have to solve the problem of the rashes and stabilize my body, get it prepared for the new medicine and so, I am currently on Antihistamines such as Loratadine and Chlorpheniramine. These medicines will aid in the rashes and stabilize my body to get it prepared for Minocycline when it enters the body in less than a week's time.

Seriously though, its like 'eat until I die'. Life is an irony. Medicine, a misery. The monetary cost - even more dreadful.

My Thoughts: I am feeling only slightly better. Thanks for your effort in trying to make me feel bettter. It worked but I don't know how long it will work though. I will always be here for you. You know that.

"Sick of Life"

I am now officially sick. I shall be on full dose on those pills and on an infinite amount of lotion. But what am I exactly sick of?

I have severe blistering skin rash erosion due to the antibiotics my doctor gave me three weeks ago. It's the side-effects. Everywhere is itchy, yes everywhere, including those parts of the body.

That is not all. Emotional problems is back. Stuck in my head. Earlier this afternoon, I went out to catch a breather and needed to do have some time alone. After that, went to visit a nearby doctor. All the doctor could do was to give me a general medication which is of no use. Threw all the medicine into the bin.

I do not need that sort of medicine. Its not the one my body wants. I know myself. It seems like I will really need to return to my original doctor - the 'three weeks' ago doctor'. And I will do just that tomorrow.

Sometimes, I feel I would rather self-medicate, its so much simpler. But frankly speaking, this phase of life is really the toughest thus far. I am not going to give up like that but at the same time, what am I to do? What should my next action plan be?

Why am I lost? I could not seem to find the answer I want. Not even at the yellow building. As you read this blog, you will be totally lost. Don't worry, no one understands my situation anyway.

My Thoughts: I am sad, just really sad. To see you is a joy but to be around with you is definitely not a joy for me. It is anguish. Allow me to mend the pieces together before I promise you anything again.

"Apathy"

It is all so plausible. It has happened. It is happening. Each time, I feel its like a challenge and I challenge myself to act upon the situation.

Sometimes, the situation controls me and that is my ultimate weakness. Not that I feel lost, I just can't make my mind up for the next action plan. No one understands my grief. I can only describe with one word - apathy.

Now I have to enter a state of reminiscence. Its not cool. Don't worry, this will not affect the frequency of my blogging. I will still continue the usual stuff.

Seriously, if you or anyone out there who are reading this and you think you can help me or you feel you have something to say to me, I would say, "Don't bother." I do not wish to elaborate or recall about this matter.

That was the exact words ITE College Central's Principal, Mr Tan Seng Hua said to me and my other emcee friends last evening after the emcee audition at ITE College East (Simei). It is really not an easy job as the ITE International Student Seminar is the grandest event of all time in the history of ITE.

Well, I shall not want to know what is the result of the auditions but I'm pretty sure the judges and managers of ITE were very impressed by all of us. It was a moment that I will never forget. Its like auditioning for Singapore Idol. That intensity will stay in my mind for good.

The entire thing ended at about 8:40pm last night and there after, I took a cab back home, and then went out again.

Alright, I am now going out for a movie with my friend to catch a breather so that my emotions remain stable. I will blog again soon! Continue to tag and I will see you soon! Goodbye for now!

My Thoughts: My feelings are so mixed right now. There are some things I just want to say (not about the emceeing) but I just cannot say it. I don't know how much longer I can keep it but I guess I just have to play by ear and hope for the best.

Movie Galore!

I reckon that one should catch movies, at the cinema - not at home, at least once a month. But on average, twice is better. I belong to the latter. So, this month, I'm gonna head on down to the theatres to catch The Echelon Conspiracy and Night At The Museum 2: Battle of The Smithsonians.

The reason I'm tagging today is because I was too busy and had no mood to blog last night, I had some sort of a 'mood swing' thing going on, that explains why.

Yesterday was also the DJ Club's 3rd General Meeting and all went well. There will be more activities to come. Looking forward to the bonding session so that by then, I can remember every single one of them. It will be so embarrassing for me not to know their name given my position so I better start learning names.

Alright, I have to go prepare now and rehearse my emcee script as I have to attend an audition at ITE College East (Simei) for the ITE International Student Seminar 2009 in the later part of the evening. Friday will be gone in a blink of an eye and here comes the weekend again!

Case Study at Changi Airport

I woke up at 7:50am this morning. I set my alarm clock to 7:55am. Always like that. Weird right? Anyway, I went to had breakfast with Mummy and then proceeded on to meet John at Hougang Central Bus Interchange to catch SBST bus service 27 to Changi Airport.

We had to go there to do a case study with regards to overseas delegates and tourism as part of our Integrated Event Planning module. Throughout the entire bus journey, John kept cursing and swearing.

Thought I would better not elaborate lest there may be people who, after reading this post, will swear even more. But if you want to know more, check out John's blog under my 'PiCLiNKS'.

Speaking of 'PiCLiNKS', a lot of my friends - Anita, Elise (New!), John, Mulyana & Pei Qi (New!), wanted to update their photos and so I have changed their pictures to the new one.

We have to admit, our group was a little rocky when it comes to the projects part. Ironically, I am a member of the Student Council under the Projects Committee. For me, I did my work (a gantt chart on AYG 2009) so I will not bother about the other members unless if necessary, I will intervene.

My teacher, Ms Jacqueline Wong was impressed with my work but I told her that it was just a draft and I made a little error here and there so I told her I would edit it again. Luckily, she told me my concept was there, otherwise I will have to re-do it instead.

We continue with the short story between Mulyana and myself. So, since Mulyana has done her work profesionally, I shall now reward her by helping her to add a shoutbox to her blog just because she doesn't know how to do it. How pathetic.

I mean, I wonder though. You see, she is always online visiting sites like Facebook, Friendster and Tagged and all that nonsense shit sites and she doesn't know a single thing about tag boards? Strange right?

Anyway, I still helped her since I consider it a reward from me to her. Hahas, how lame. So this is what I did - the final output on her blog.

Hey, I'm back! Hahas! Thank you so much for welcoming me back to the world of blogging though! Wow, the first sentence seems like the same as the previous blog post. It seems I love to be on hiatus.

Hahas but hey, don't under-estimate hiatus moments. It is always a good time to re-think, re-focus, replenish, renew, restart, re-energize and the list goes on.

Ok, my point is, it gives you new ideas and inspirations thus one is tempted to blog again.

Alright, I shall kick things off with my very first post on this Monday. Come on, its not that bad right? Look at it in the positive way. No, because everytime the word Monday is mentioned, you see people face changes. See, all smiling away!

Today was not a very bad day. Mulyana finally started doing her work for the very first time. I was impressed. Totally stunned.

Well, all I could say is that I am very proud of her. Hahas. Keep up the good work, my friend. All in all, we had lessons like DSG and followed by IEP today. Can't believe the LTA tour guide called me today for Mr Raja's number. How the hell do I know?

IN MEMORY

Lately, I don't know what has been happening for pets in September 2008. In this month alone, me and my friends all had to go through a tough time dealing with the death of our pets. When there are too many deaths to handle, the only way is to let the feelings out from our hearts.

My hamster, Lenora died on 6 September 2008 and it was such a painful experience to lose a wonderful hamster. Lenora was born and bred at my own home. I gave it the best coffin for burial and I did so under my block of flats.

And then there was Greyly, Tian's hamster. It suffered the same state as Lenora. The body became very thin out of a sudden. Unknown causes of death. But from what I know, Tian seemed to adore Greyly a lot.

Not forgetting the cute and loving Candy, Elise's dog. According to her, it was suffering from some internal problems within its body and the dog felt weak and passed on just like that. Elise is very sad about her dog and I hope everyone who know her can at least console her because losing a pet, regardless of size (Hamster or Dog), means a lot to the owner.

Hi everyone! Thanks for visiting my dear damian987.blogspot.com. Over the past few days, I have been going out a lot and was too busy to update my blog but anyways, I will still update it as promised from time to time to keep it alive although its the school holidays for me!

Yesterday was a very hectic night. At 6pm, I left my house with my bicycle to meet Anita and Ryan. In the end, I met Halifah and company first as they were late. I was tasked to go to Simpang Bedok or Bedok Food Centre and meet them. They wanted to eat there because Break Fast.

So I took about 45 minutes to reach there from Eunos. Travel via Sims Avenue and then on New Upper Changi Road. I realised that I actually cycled a lot. And I literally mean A LOT. After eating at that place, they took a train down to Paya Lebar MRT station because there's a bazzar going on in that area. I cycled back to Paya Lebar and met them at Singapore Post Centre.

I waited for their arrival and when they finally arrived, they went to visit the bazzar while me and Zul stayed behind with my bike to wait for Anita and Ryan. After 15 minutes, they arrived and we went to the bazzar and have a look. Then Ryan was hungry so we went around searching for a coffee shop or somewhere that we could eat.

And so as usual, we started to take pictures again.

Today was my TPS Examination. Wow. It was freaky. The questions were so detailed. You need to really study in order to pass, I would say. Unfortunately for me, I only studied the main points and didn't pay much attention to the elaboration parts of some points in the chapters.

Anyways, I saw Ms Wong and Ms Lee outside the admin office after the exam. Ms Wong look disappointed in me then Ms Lee told me I did very badly for my Microsoft Access exam. I am the only failure in the class! What?! I am going to be so dead. Really dead. It's a single digit mark, according to Ms Wong.

Hopefully, my BZF (Business Fundamentals) and TPS (Tourism, Products and Services) will pull through since there is little luck for OFA (Office Applications) already. I did what I could already. There's no turning back.

Today is Monday. I think I'm beginning to suffer from lethargic-ness. Is there such a word? Oh well, today I sat for my BZF Exam. Gosh, the paper was moderately tough. But if one studied, one should be able to pass it confidently as the questions were repeated from mock papers.

Wow, its gonna be the holidays for me again! Can't wait! Thursday is TPS Exam. Haven't fully studied it yet, gonna mug like hell for it again.

REVIEW: The movie was great. It wasn't as sucky as I thought it would be. Great aspirations and inspirations can be drawn from the movie and one can feel the dream within the movie. Awesome stuff! 3.5 of 5 STARS.

I promise fabulous fun with a big bang!"

DJ Damian has also said that most segments in his show would not change. Listeners can still make a request or dedication for their favourite songs as usual. They can also participate in a new game show called "True Or False?" which only started recently since it premiered on 3 December 2007.

This is the second time CHiLL FM has hosted shows outside the studio. The last time we hosted shows on the airwaves was at our past event, namely, "The CHiLL FM MusiChalet 2006" on 3 December 2006.

haha today went to vivocity, wah long time never go liao. i met ken lo and jian wen and we went to golden village to watch Hitman the movie lo. k lo, dun quite understand some parts la but overall okay only la, the action part den nice lo. now i love being undercover agents.

REVIEW: Not too bad. The nudity scenes are very disturbing. If MDA cut those scenes, it would have been rated PG and many other younger teenagers could watch it after all, it is based on a video game. And definitely, video games are played by kids. 2.5 out of 5 stars.

life update

wow.. its getting closer to the end of november and december is just around the corner.. anyways, over last sunday, i went to church and then after service, me and my mum, together with my brothers, went to plaza singapura's pizza hut to have lunch.. wah, the place was crowded..

so we spent $50 in all and we had our fill den went back home. YAY! finished reading tuesdays with morrie at last.. GOOD book. seriously.

den came monday and jian wen ask me out to catch another movie - the kingdom.. damn.. wad is wrong with this guy.. anw, i went to play battlegear at arcade and we had a pretty good time, like hogging the battlegear arcade machine and sneaking in to the cinema with outside food..

REVIEW:This movie has lots of action and violence. Rated NC-16 by MDA, this film delivers a whole lot of swashbuckling action between Saudi Arabia and the United States of America. Catch it if you favour these sort of story line whereby its just BANG, BANG and more BANG! 2 out of 5 stars.

I dropped $1 on that day. SHIT.

Prologue

This is going to be a book I may publish. Its the real accounts of my life over the past 5 years. This is also going to be the first time I'm doing this. The book, entitled "YOUR CHOICES DETERMINES YOUR LIFE" will be published online on my blog with every blog posts. I have not published a book in print yet but will do so if its necessary. Each chapter is considered 'short' due to the current events I am encountering in my life at this very moment.

CHAPTER 8

Style. One should embrace one's own way of styling. Be it fanciful or maybe a wardrobe malfunction, these are just different styles one possesses. Fashion is getting more popular nowadays and its always good to know what one's style is.

The most amazing thing above all is that style carries a certain image of how you look. The other day, I walked past a teenage 'gangster-infected' area in a part of Singapore, that's what I called it, which I do not want to disclose at this moment in time. There are just so many teenagers who appear so funky and others, much like a punk when you look at how they groom themselves.

Youths nowadays all fancy beautiful apparels, even shoes. Personally, I feel that style is all part of your character. You dress to impress and also to match your own style which forms part of your character. I, myself pretty much adore style as well as fashion. But, I am not one of those fashion craze people.

Looking good will certainly boost your self-esteem. Looking good also means feeling good. You want others to praise you for how you look and not mock at how you dress, isn't it? Speaking of which, you should have realized my style of writing by now. The initials of the very first word would be the starting alphabet of each paragraph in every chapter of mine. Furthermore, the topics that I discuss about in each chapter is also, ironically, the very first word of the entire story.

Extravagant will soon be the word to describe people like you if you decide to spend a lot of money on apparels, hand accessories, shoes and other fashion stuffs. It is definitely inevitable for one to be on a tight budget when shopping for style and fashion. So remember, always consider what you buy first.

CHAPTER 7

Reading is something I hate to do when I was young. When my teachers always urge me to read a certain book in my younger days, I would shun away and pull a long grumpy face. Reading does not interest me a bit at all.

Everyday, I would always try my best to read something because most people say that reading is good. Years passed and I realized that I do like reading in a certain way as long as I have interest in what I am reading. I believe that in order to do something well, you not only need to have self-motivation and determination, but you must also like it.

A series of book released by Mitch Albom recently caught my eyes. Through his books, I found my passion in reading and writing so much so that I am now writing this book of mine and I tell myself to read at least ten pages of a book every single day so I can improve on my communication skills.

Despite my hectic schedule at times throughout a particular day, I still read because sometimes I am just bored and have nothing else better to do. I find comfort in reading magazines such as 8 Days, Teenage, Lime and First magazines as well. Even The Straits Times, a daily newspaper, has become part of my life every morning.

I used to think that reading is stupid and nerdy. But seriously, I do not think that way anymore. At times, I wondered why I even thought that way the last time. It was just dumb of me to imagine I would said something like that.

Never say never. Though reading may seem tough, good books do change your life after you have read them. Trust me. Books are just so powerful on its own as it delivers so much knowledge, values and experience. Do not ever, ever judge a book by it's cover.

Giving up on reading is something one should not attempt at all. I stress that reading is so important in our lives. I do not know why but I seem to realize the importance of reading and how significant it could be in our lives. Flip open a book today and start reading if you have not done so. Experience the change in you as you read.

Enchanting

okie.. today went out in the afternoon with ken lo becos he is leaving soon for japan.. so yea.. den after which, we met jian wen.. he wanted to watch an undecided movie.. first of all, went out with ken lo to sportslink in ang mo kio and he bought a canvas shoe which was only $6, WOW! cheap!

after dat, went to ang mo kio hub and play arcade at zone x.. lucky my card still got leftover money from last time, at least can save on topping up.. den play for about an hour before proceeding to nebo cafe..

inside the cafe, we surf internet for free using the nebo computers provided, besides, i have the privilege to use it after all, i am a member, no, am a COMMITTEE of nebo.. HAH! we log on to chill fm blog to check out what the fuss was all about..

den jian wen appeared suddenly and said hi to us.. so he decided he wanted to watch The Kingdom, i persuaded him to watch Enchanted better, more like, erm, hmm, dunno la.. i just feel like watching Enchanted, more interesting ma, compared to The Kingdom, dat kind of war films, hate it.. i love action and thriller but i hate anything that's got to do with war!

subsequently, we went to zone x after the movie to play a car-racing game, den went home. he went home first, i played longer, say additional 15 minutes..

well, my personal review for this movie would be, at some parts, especially the singing, its super boring but overall, its a wonderful fairytale that came true to real life and that is what is so interesting about the whole concept of this movie because this movie takes the fairytale to a higher level so the film pretty uses live action to revive the story. great stuff. i would give this movie 3 stars upon 5.

To ALL fans of the regular night show on CHiLL FM entitled, "Night Out with Damian", this show has been airing on the airwaves of CHiLL FM for slightly more than a week now.

For the record, this show is the first ever show on CHiLL FM that had garnered so many good reviews from various listeners within such a short time frame - in less than a week.

We would like to thank all our listeners thus far for tuning in. DJ Damian said he will be returning to the show soon due to some personal matters. As such, he is currently on leave as he has to attend to his personal matters and will be back in a couple of days' time. His show will only resume from Saturday, 24 November 2007, 11pm.

We are also planning to include more regular shows on CHiLL FM to increase listener-ship of the station by adding new shows with working names, such as "Weekend Fever with Alfred" and "Alan's Afternoons". In talks, are also more shows like "Everyday with QZ Koh" as well as "The Ken Show". If confirmed, these shows are scheduled to air as early as December 2007, if not, in early 2008.

Chek Jawa @ Ubin!

on monday, 19th november 2007, i decided to ask a couple of my friends, which were ken lo and qz koh, out to ubin to do some cycling.. so we went to ubin on a bumboat..

we reached there about 12.45pm and we rented a bike for about 4 hours and it only cost us $3 which was a pretty good deal.. we cycled here and there with no objective but ended up landing in front of a beautiful lake.. wow, i Love the colour of the lake.. BLUE!

later we decided to go to Chek Jawa, which was a famous place in Ubin but not that popular yet.. the place is all mangrove with an abundant lush of greenery complete with the greatest scenery from the lookout tower which was say about close to 50m high..

in conclusion, the trip was awesome and we got to experience a lot of great stuffs through out this journey.. we learnt lots of stuff.. the bad thing was, the weather wasn't that kind to allow us to cycle more and that mosquitoes was irritating us! but overall, coolness!

family sunday

Last Sunday, 18 November, i went out with my family to a fun fair event, much like an activity fun fair and it was great, the location was in the vicinity of paya lebar and to tell you the truth, at first, i look forward to the event but when i got there, late, and realized what the event was going to be about for the rest of the day, i immediately felt bored with the organizer's arrangement and lined-up of the activities.. i felt that it didn't really catered to me in a certain way and it was not that interesting after all..

nevertheless, i still had to be with my family the whole time and although the event was somewhat sucky in a way and i had to endure the whole afternoon just to accompany my family.. what kept me from going back was the free lunch that's all.. haha..

so when the event ended about 4.30pm, people rushed over to the back counter to "da-bao" free dinner back, which was the leftover from lunch, and i took my packet.. i was looking for a plastic bag or a small box whereby i can dump my food and drinks into.. while i was at it, a stupid woman grabbed my food..

i slapped her hand and she shouted "OUCH".. i then said, "piece of shit la u! got so many, take my one for wad?" no worries, no vulgarities came out from my mouth..

then walk over to the bus stop and wait for bus.. wah, wait so long, some idiot go and step on my box with my food and drinks in it because i put the box on the floor.. "OI!, siao ar!" such an ass..

den stupid rain, rain so heavy like never rain in a hundred years liddat.. rain until so jia-lat.. fallen tree branches and faulty traffic lights.. hais.. i went home drenched..

"YOUR CHOICES DETERMINES YOUR LIFE"

Prologue

CHAPTER 6

Time is essence. Sounds familiar? Time is everything. In everything you do, you will always be mindful of your time, wouldn't you? Ranging from submitting an assignment before its due to finishing up a proposal before its deadline are all stuff that has association with time. Frankly speaking, time is also one of the most important factor in my life. It affects everything I do, academically, physically, mentally. Everything!

Imagine this, you decided to make your friend the scapegoat and thus you felt so much better. Let us view this story from two perspectives. First, you were the one pushing all the blame to your friend so you could escape from whatever punishment you were about to undergo. You felt so relieved. Let us now take a look from another perspective. Now, you are your friend. You knew your friend was making you scapegoat but there was nothing you could do to defend yourself because everyone was dubious about your side of the story and on top of that, you were actually suffering from a terminal disease which was killing you every second of your remaining life. You wouldn't want to risk your life by rebutting. Now, picture this again - you are now the one who made your friend the scapegoat, he may be dying tomorrow, or maybe, in an hour's time. Could you reverse time just to apologize to him by telling him this one word, "Sorry" and thus asking him for forgiveness which you didn't quite deserve? The answer's no. Time cannot be reversed under any circumstances.

Megalomania is the word to describe people exhibiting such behaviour. In simple terms, it meant excessive self-esteem. You think you felt proud by what you have done and felt great for what you did, as though it was a sense of achievement in your life. Hell, you are a jerk then! Face it. You are human, your friend is a human. Spare a thought for one another, will you?

Expiry date is also a time frame. In general, consumable and non-consumable products, such as bread and battery respectively, all have a distinctive expiry date. See, time runs through everyone, all the time. Every minute of your life should be spend meaningfully, without regrets. Spend it wisely, just like money. Fruitful and quality time is essential to all of us. And guess what, by the time you finished reading this chapter, two to three minutes of your life has just passed, just like that, in a blink of an eye! But no worries, because reading this is something good.

CHAPTER 5

Cycling is one of the greatest hobby and the most common recreational activity in my life. I remembered the times when I was learning how to cycle. I was nine years old when my dad owned a photo shop, much like a photo developing kiosk. I would always be bored with what my dad was doing. Nothing in the shop interest me at all except for the little bicycle at the corner of the shop which was mine. That was the only thing I fancied.

You know, the most bizarre thing of all was that the person who taught me how to cycle, as in how to balance on a bicycle, without training wheels was none other than a fat but stout boy who was pretty much my age at that time. How I wished to thank him so much but too bad I lost contact with him a long time ago. Subsequently, this hobby turned into a recreational activity after a few years.

Considering buying a bicycle of my choice was a conundrum. So, about 15 months ago, I finally decided to buy a bicycle of my own. A mountain bike, to be precise. I don't really fancy those smaller types of bicycles, especially those BMX bicycles commonly used by young teenagers. The reason being, I am more adventurous than most of my friends.

Luxury and self-indulgence to me is cycling, so much so that it has become part of my life and it is considered enjoyable to me in all ways. Often, I would always head to East Coast Park and cycle end-to-end, racing like an agitated cheetah. With not much distraction, this journey would averagely take me about 50 minutes. I am now becoming more interested in dirt biking too where one has to cycle on rough and tough terrains. It is not easy at all, trust me, I tried it twice at Tampines Trail Bike Cycling and a few times at Pulau Ubin as well.

Intensifying yet being true to my passion, I still love cycling across Singapore. So far, I have ever cycled to areas such as, the back of Changi Airport, located at Changi Coast Road, East Coast Park, Sentosa - in the island and on the beaches, Newton Circle - the most challenging road in Singapore so far, Tampines and Pasir Ris estates and also, not forgetting town and the Central Business District area especially at peak hours. Most of the areas have been covered as I make it a point to experience new places every time I embark on a cycling trip. In most journeys like these, I would be accompanied by a friend or a few friends of mine and at other times, just alone.

Neither your loved ones nor members of the public would want to see you getting hurt whilst cycling. Road cycling is not something I like or dislike. It is just something which I have to get past first before reaching my final destination. By right, all bicycles belong to the road and bicycles should have the right of way like other motorists on the road as well. I personally feel that most motorists still do not understand the fact that a person who is cycling is also a road user. As a result, we cyclists often feel inferior and neglected on the road.

Going all the way to fight for your passion and your dreams is something worthy of oneself. What matters is that a person should be balanced with academic qualities as well as non-academic qualities such as recreational activities, like a hobby, take for an instance, cycling. Take up a sport today if you have not, it keeps one healthy.

Prologue

Relationship has its pros and cons, the happy sides and the unhappy sides. To me, everything happens for a reason. Even relationship has its reasons. First of all, my relationship with my family and relatives is pretty much only average. I do not seem to feel the warmth my family gives me. In fact, I wondered if they had ever given me their love and concern I deserved.

Every time when thoughts like these runs through my mind like, "Do they really love me?" and "Do I deserved to be loved?", I would look at my pictures when I was a little boy just beneath the plastic cupboard in the store room. I would always spend at least ten seconds on every picture. I would then sit and stare into space, thinking and thinking hard.

Life can be so tough for some, while others, its so care-free. If there was a place in the world that sells "care-free" drugs, I would ignore the dosage of it and just swallow capsules after capsules from the bottle. Yea, if only life was so much better. Living in this world has taught me so many valuable lessons but I failed to apply it in my daily life which resulted in my stubborn behaviour at times.

A church friend of mine, whose age is somewhat doubled of mine, recently blamed me for being so childish with certain behaviours of mine. My character, attitude, personality are all just being "young at heart", and not childish, I rebutted. You may be then wondering how about my relationship with my friends. Well, that would be described as friendship. Luckily for me, I seldom have any problems with my friends and I love them as much as they love me. So that is pretty much it.

Take love for example, say, a love relationship. I have a few crushes in my life. The first girl I met was Germaine. She was eleven years of age, I was twelve, a year older. We fell in love with each other during a badminton game. I love her beautiful smiles. I would always write love letters her and vice versa, proclaiming the sweetness of our love. This love disappeared within two weeks.

Ironic, but true. Love is something too complicated for me. Three years later, I met another girl, but little did I expect that this girl was a schoolmate of my ex-girlfriend. Her name was Annlyn and she was two years my junior. I was fifteen then. We had feelings since we were young and its only right that we should mature our relationship, after all, we were now in middle school, right? Wrong. This relationship turned sour after a month. See, its so tough to sustain just one relationship, let alone so many other more.

On the contrary, love is something most people desire to have. But for me, no. Until I find the right girl, seriously, the right one, only will I then let out all my feelings to her and give her my everlasting love forever and ever.

Nevertheless, I would still consider love as a major factor in my life. Because if I ever have someone who loves me so much, someone who is willing to go through thick and thin with me, I would treasure and cherish this girl and make her feel that she is so important in my life that I just can't live without. Fantasy, you would say, but who knows, it could happen.

Showering a girl of my dreams with my love reminds me of a waterfall, much like the Niagara Falls in Ontario, Canada. I have ever been there when I was young, pretty much in my preteens. I love the the scenery. To me, it represents love in my life. A waterfall of love that is just indescribable.

Heart is love. Love is often associated with the word, heart as well as the shape of it. Amazing thing about our hearts is that it beats approximately 2.5 billion times during a lifetime of sixty-six years. Love should be sustained at this rate too, I reckon.

I realized sometimes that I have been a jerk. I want to be loved and yet I do not love others at times. This is very contradicting, isn't it? One should love others like how you would want others to love you. Love itself is a relationship on its own and its not something that can be expressed from your mind, your brains, your body or your mouth. It is something that can only be expressed from your heart, that is genuine heart-felt love and compassion.

Pictures are something beneficial and meaningful to me because pictures specially relates to love in some ways or another. I learnt something which is the most important of all and that is whether you have love. If you ever have time, ask yourself whether or not you love yourself. This is a very important question because the answer determines the love you have within yourself. And as for me, I do love myself.

CHAPTER 3

Dreams and passions have always been the motivation in my life. Since young, I have always been interested in imagery. Everything that I look at, through my eyes, I always imagined like I am a digital camera myself and my eyes were the lens of the camera. I love those feelings. Stress-free moments. No worries, no stress, just pure relaxation.

Relieving the past is something I adore. Good times will always be flowing through in my head while those bad times will just be discarded from my mind. Music entered my life when I was ten years of age. I would always tune in to local radio station such as, 987FM and immerse myself deeply into the lyrics of every song. Sometimes, I would be so engrossed in a particular song that I hum the tune to the song every time I am remembered of it.

Eccentric yet appealing to my friends, people do like me in certain ways. I can feel it. Passion will always be something special to me, after all, talents developed from passion. Deejaying is something I never have thought of because deep down inside of me, I am not someone who talks fluently and my English is not as good as how you would imagine. In fact, English is definitely not one of my favourite subjects in school.

A lot of people have told me that in order to become successful, you have to work for it. I always believe that my passion will be my motivation but it is not working academically for me. Awe-stricken, fear began to build up on my nerves as examinations approach each time. I give up to easily. Seriously, that is my utmost weakness in my entire sixteen years of life.

Making amendments may seem easy to most people. But for me myself, Damian, is someone who isn't keen on making corrections in my life in a certain approach at all. If you ask me to study a subject which I have the least interest in, I can't do it. I know. You must be wondering why is that so. But the truth is, this is just me, plain me.

Strange emotions always hold me back for some reasons. At times, I know I have to do this, but a part of my body always says NO! The other part says YES! Because of this, I am tempted to give up easily as I give in to the part which says no. And that is something very sad and I know I will have to work on my weakness. I will. I hope. I must.

CHAPTER 2

Family. How I envy other family. I look at my friend's family. I look at my friend's friend's family. I admire how their upbringing could be so near to perfect. Yes, to me, it is considered perfect in my eyes. Then, I look at mine. I could not see much similarities.

As I watched and watched other teenagers from all walks of life, some are pretty much gangsters, while some other are diligent young adults. I aspire to be so much like the latter. But in order to be like one of them, I have to set a few things right. Self-discipline and setting up goals are the keys to it but I bluntly ignore the importance of these keys.

My life is so unpredictable just like the weather in Singapore. Actually, being the middle son to my parents means I have 2 siblings and both happened to be my brothers. The fact is, before I was conceived by my mother in her womb, I had an older brother. Complications arose but I could not figure out till this present state, that my older brother had died due to a miscarriage.

I was born because of that. And I do not know if I should be grateful that I had my life. But am I thankful? Do I cherish my life? I screwed up in mostly everything I do. Sometimes, I wondered whether or not my life was suppose to be created. I now live my life with full of excuses. In everything I do, I play by ear. Although this is very dangerous, because I always have no plans and no directions in where I am going in life, I still live life day by day, without persistence and perseverance to succeed in anything I do.

Lingering around with my friends is something I treasure a lot. Some know me quite well, others, very well. They always regarded me as a cheerful leader. A happy-go-lucky kid. Were they wrong? No, they were right. But they do not know the dark side of me, the honest side of me. I always try to be as happy as I can when I have company. But when I'm alone, it changes. And its not a slight change. Its one drastic 'hell of a ride' change.

Young or old, we still need our family. I thought it over, one could be in a well-to-do family, the other could be in a sick, old abusive family. Contrast? Yes, it is. But at the end of the day, when one is caught in a real life-and-death situation, the first people to arrive will always be one's family. Live life strong. I dedicate this to all who are suffering bitterness in their life, just like me.

MORNING of 13th NOVEMBER 2007

in the morning, i met qz koh and we went cycling from hougang all the way to east coast just to meet up with sheng jie to cycle around town.. we cycled and cycled wah.. damn tired.. halfway through to east coast park, i almost vommitted and almost wanna "lau-sai" wah, buey ta han.. can't stand it.. but in the end, still cycle all the way to east coast park..

AFTERNOON of 13th NOVEMBER 2007

reach east coast, no appetite to eat McDonalds den in the end cycle to bedok bicycle shop first den later to Clarke Quay to drink and Chinatown to eat. wah, i ate MeatBall soup and rice.. not say very fantastic.. i ate just to give my stomach work to do other than growling non-stop.. bought some fruits for qz koh and sheng jie too.

well. night was a dinner at my church.. i was persuaded by my uncle to go as a surprise he planned. ok, i hate it, but anw.. i just went to eat guiltily, hais. wad to do. at least i admit. ate from 7.30 to 9.30.. den left about 10.. reached home in a chartered bus about 11.. didn't have plans to host my show as it was rather late..

Nothing much happened on 14th November 2007.

Prologue

CHAPTER 1

Social networking sites. What do you know about them? For me, as far as I know, they are sites that enable us to really express our feelings and voices over the net and through it all, making new friends with other strangers of the same interests.

Out of the blue, I happened to chance upon a picture of Gary when my friend, Kevin sent me a link to Friendster via Messenger. Flashbacks occurred in my mind rapidly like a fast-moving train going through a tunnel. I was so infuriated by the thought of him.

Considering so much I could have done in the past to change the present, I reckoned I failed as a brotherly figure toward him. He was my best pal, much like a brother, and I promised to take good care of him. I told him I promised him but I guessed my words meant nothing. Never in my life did I felt so disappointed before. Not just with me, but with him.

I personally feel that this friend of mine, at the age of fourteen, close to fifteen, still has a bright future ahead of him and he is capable of accomplishing great stuffs in his life if he sets his mind to do what he is suppose to do. But till now, this day still has not struck him yet. I wanted to change him but he has to change for the better first in order to allow others to change and help him.

A friend just vanished like that within a day. My friendship grew with him over a week and matured into brotherhood but disappeared overnight. That is something I have yet to figure it out. I realized the greatest problem lied with him. He has to change and start making decisions on his own. Positive decisions that will help him grow to be responsible.

Lamenting on the past, I still blamed myself for being partially responsible. I am not his parent nor his kin. But even so if I am not his guardian or care-taker, I ought to teach him sensibly as a friend and as a brother. I just wished that he would grow up mentally and take a second look at his changed life.

today, will be a really short post.. didn't went out at all.. was stuck at home all day because i had no plans to go out for the day.. furthermore, i slept at 3.30am after my shift ended at 1am.. that was "early" huh..

anyway, my show, entitled "Night Out with Damian" will officially starts today and its so highly anticipated.. this show garnered good reviews from listeners who previewed the show over the past 2 days as part of a series of trial shows..

hopefully, this show would attract more listeners.. haha.. ok dats about it.. see u at 10pm on CHiLL FM airwaves, any requests, just type it in the Flatcast Chatbox later on your screen when you tune in!

bee day.

well.. today, i went out in the afternoon.. jian wen call me say want to treat me go and watch movie.. haha.. k la, free one, who dun wan..! oops.. Muahahaha!

so went to vivo to catch Bee Movie at GV MAX and wow, it was crowded, not to mention the size of the cinema. we went in just on time.. like just go in, den play one advertisement and one movie trailer den start already.

Dreamworks's Bee Movie

hate to go in to GV Cinemas on time becos they have a habit of starting the movie late by 10-15 minutes.. dun believe, u can go try.. its always like that.. unlike, cathay, guranteed, always start on time.. and dats wad i like about going to the movies.. start on time, end on time.

anyways, we watched Bee Movie and this whole story is all about a bee realizing human beings are friendly but later discovered that we are stealing their honey and then the Barry Bee Benson, voiced by Jerry Seinfeld vows to sue the human population.. he's the lead actor / lead bee in the movie la. hmm and err just expect great laughter from this movie..

ok i finish half of my Mitch Albom's Five People You Meet In Heaven.. gonna finish it before the end of this week.. still got Tuesdays with Morrie and then later got For One More Day.. all Mitch Albom's books..

today nothing much la.. wake up at 12.30pm.. so late hor dats becos i slept at 2.45am i think.. i listen radio to sleep one.. i seldom sleep without music.. that's me.

haha.. den after dat, qz koh call me and ask me wan meet or not.. i say ok lo, anw, i need to buy my USB extension cable.. after dat walk around hougang area..

today i still can't find my Friday Weekly, saturday already leh..

OUh! Monday, my show start liao.. so fast leh.. LAI LIAO leh! monday, 12 nov, 10pm, be sure to catch me then.. got LIVE Webcam so can see me.. haha, its finally fixed!..

hmm, and then today when going home, saw 1 stupid car, the driver no guts to drive.. he was driving so slow.. den U-Turn and reverse also NO GUTS.. mine as well I drive for him! wa laU!

hey.. haha i wonder how come i am back in blogging now.. but who cares.. i guess its my mood..

went to national library and borrow a couple of books.. tour the library like never see before like that.. after leave the library, run for bus, almost knock down by a car! damn!

today short post okie.. i went to the nEbO meeting as i'm part of their volunteers now, hopefully can become a committee there.. and wow, they discuss a lot of stuff.. shared a lot of insider information.. i'm just glad to know betty and the rest of the people who were there..

after that, go geylang and eat fried rice.. today saw about 20 "7-Eleven" shops liao.. WAH!! can't stand it.. jin du lan.. very pissed off.. cheat me 30 cents but still keep appearing in front of me.. worse than TV mobile.. TV mobile its everywhere, this one is ANYWHERE also have..

k lo, later went to sengkang for a while den go home liao.. the whole day i was with QZ Koh lo..

ok, so i have started blogging again and yea.. apparently things aren't cool as they are suppose to be..

anyways, remember the picture i ask u to guess.. its actually a gangster without guts standing at a side of a road and waiting for a taxi for very long.. about close to 5 empty taxis pass by him and refuse to pick him up because he's a bloody gangster.. finally, 1 taxi picked him but stop for about 30 seconds before moving off.. even the last taxi driver was reluctant to pick him..

okie.. i went to teenage's 19th birthday.. and walau.. ok la, a bit boring because there was too much, they didn't start on time.. they shouldn't wait for the late comers lo.. wah, drink the HULA Mulberry juice until i almost vomit.. den beside me is one boy and gal, like sec 1, they were sitting close to each other.. i told qz koh dat the boy no guts to hold the girl.. after i said that, immediately the guy held the gal's hand.. if i was the guy, the girl's lips would be in my mouth by then.. so slow the guy..

wah den, drink my drink halfway, got this stupid receipt machine keep producing receipt non-stop.. laugh until want to faint ar.. the receipt come out until the WWHOOLLEE entire place was all filled with receipts!

but hais.. continue walking.. sit at shaw cinema's the sofa to rest, den walk until reach gangster spot.. we want to see how the gangsters got up to the 4th level.. so we tried to go by the stairs.. when we reach there, wah lau! open the door, so many gangsters! about 20 of them.. i faster run away with qz koh, gangsters are just a bunch of naughty kids..

den after dat go home den see this building, seems like a university but who cares, i would rather it be my chill-rex studios..

Hihi.. i'm back. and yea, sorry for not updating all these while. not gonna to lie to u guys. i wasn't really BUSY i was just really LAZY! PSPS..

Bowling Craze (This father and son was spotted at a bowling centre.)

A short summary on what is this:

There's this father and son at a bowling centre. They occupied a lane. The son is trying to learn how to bowl. Within 5 minutes, he becomes a pro. Funny thing is, the son keeps improving, but the father is not improving, in fact he screws up every throw when its his turn.

We captured the cute faces of the boy as he strikes the pins and a couple of boring faces of his father. ENJOY!

Doesn't the small boy resemble SHAWN TOK? Keep Guessing.

Oh, Oh! And we found a few papers left by a stupid young girl who dances around the bowling centre thinking we are on "Live The Dream"!

Crazy.

So, I went home with QZ Koh. We were walking along Upper Serangoon Road when a minor accident happened between 2 cars, I wanted to STomp it but nah, it was very minor. But the stupid driver keep checking his bumper to see if things are okay. He was rocking the car as if he was fucking the car, seriously. Stupid, i would say.

yo, hahas.. sorry for not updating.. 987 control was a really busy moment for this few weeks.. anyways, i'm back.. and err.. yep, it was my birthday and that it was great! i want to thank everyone who had made me happy.. eh.. many many names but mainly ken lo, annlyn, yeow yee, myself (LOL), mummy, daddy, and my brothers!. hahas.. alrites, its at least a post right, i will type long long next time k?, i promise on april fool's day, you will get to see a long post by then.. thanks!
